Local Applebee's Restaurants Offer Easter Fun, Beyond Coloring Eggs Hop Over To Your Neighborhood Applebee's This Easter Where Kids Eat Free(Newtown, PA - March 23, 2010) - Easter is on its way and so is the official start of spring. The Rose Group Applebee's is helping to spread the excitement of Easter and bring smiles to kids' faces with a special offer. All day Sunday, April 4th, children age 12 and under can hop over to the neighborhood Rose Group Applebee's where two kids receive free Kids' Meals with every adult entrée purchase. "We want to encourage families to spend time together this Easter, without feeling like they are breaking the bank," said Jeff Warden, President and CEO of The Rose Group. "We're looking forward to creating additional excitement around the holiday and helping families to celebrate." The Rose Group is also helping families when it comes to decorating too, offering fun, money saving tips families can enjoy. If you're looking for a fun craft this Easter, why not try decorating some eggs with eggshell mosaic. Simply save your eggshells after cooking, paint them and break the segments into little pieces to make your mosaic designs. It's easy and thrifty. If you're looking to dye eggs, instead of purchasing kits, use good old-fashioned food coloring. You can create a tie-dye effect by holding your egg in one hand and adding one drop of food-color onto your egg. Next, spin and twirl the egg in between your fingers as the drop of food color swirls and moves around the egg. You can repeat with another color to create a psychedelic look. So, once the eggs are dyed and the baskets are found, head to your neighborhood Applebee's on April 4th where all participating Rose Group Applebee's restaurants are offering two free Kids' Menu entrees with every adult entrée purchase for its dine-in customers.
